Here's a recipe for Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes:

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 10 to 12 servings

Ingredients

3 1/2 pounds russet potatoes

16 fluid ounces (2 cups) half-and-half

6 cloves garlic, crushed

2 tablespoons kosher salt

6 ounces grated Parmesan

Directions

Peel and dice potatoes, making sure all are relatively the same size. Place in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce heat to maintain a rolling boil. Cook until potatoes fall apart when poked with a fork.

Heat the half-and-half and the garlic in a medium saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and set aside.

Remove the potatoes from the heat and drain off the water. Mash and add the garlic-cream mixture, salt, and Parmesan; stir to combine. Let stand for 5 minutes so that mixture thickens and then serve.

1 potato per person is what most people say BUT in this household that doesnt work. Im going with one per person with at least 5 more :P

Peel and boil potatos. When you can stick a fork in it and they fall apart they are ready.

drain all water.

Add some fake potato flakes to help make them creamy.

Add some HEAVY whipping cream, also to make creamy.

Add butter, salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.

I use a masher thing to make them but you can use a mixer ESPECIALLY with a lot of potatos! GOod Luck!
Here's great potato recipes that you don't see every day.

I always estimate that each guest will eat the equivalent of 1/2 a potato (the large white Idaho potatoes).

So if you are making mashed potatoes for 10 people. About 5 whole, large potatoes should do the trick. But use 6 potatoes just to be safe (more if there are big eaters i.e. young guys in the group.
